The tomb of Joseph of Arimathea (a 'prominent member of the Council', Mark 15:43) is consistent with rock-cut tombs of wealthy 1st-century Jews in Jerusalem. Garden Tomb and Church of Holy Sepulchre are the two candidate sites.
