How Traditions Read This Prophecy
Apostolic (Oneness) PentecostalThe psalm closes in doxology: 'Blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory.' The prayer that all the earth be filled with God's glory is answered in the Lord Jesus, in whom all things are gathered (Eph. 1:10) and through whom the kingdoms of this world become the kingdom of our Lord (Rev. 11:15). The glorious name that fills the earth is the name of Jesus.
JewishA closing benediction (ending Book II of the Psalter) praising the LORD God of Israel and praying that His glory fill the whole earth.
