How Traditions Read This Prophecy
Apostolic (Oneness) Pentecostal'I will cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David... THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS' (cf. 23:6). The righteous Branch is the Lord Jesus — and His very name is 'the LORD (YHWH) our righteousness,' for the Branch is Jehovah-Tsidkenu, God Himself become our righteousness (1 Cor. 1:30). The Davidic King and the LORD are one.
