Textual noteActs 15:16–17 quotes this passage in its ancient Greek (Septuagint) form: where the Hebrew of Amos 9:12 reads “that they may possess the remnant of Edom,” the Greek — and Acts — read “that the residue of men might seek after the Lord.” Same promise of the nations brought in; two textual streams.
