“In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.”

How Traditions Read This Prophecy
Apostolic (Oneness) Pentecostal'In that day there shall be a fountain opened... for sin and for uncleanness.' That fountain is opened in the pierced side of the Lord Jesus (John 19:34) — the blood that cleanses from all sin (1 John 1:7). God Himself, in Christ, opened the cleansing fountain; it is applied in repentance and baptism in His name for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38).
JewishA promise of national cleansing and the purging of idolatry and false prophecy 'in that day'; the fountain symbolizes God's forgiveness of a repentant Israel.
