How Traditions Read This Prophecy
Apostolic (Oneness) PentecostalThe One who returns visibly is Jesus, the same Lord who was pierced — the one God revealed in flesh now revealed in glory (cf. Zech. 12:10; Rev. 22:13).
JewishDraws on Daniel 7:13 ('one like a son of man... with the clouds') and Zechariah 12:10 ('look on me whom they have pierced'); Judaism reads the latter as national mourning, not for a crucified Messiah.
CatholicA pillar text for the visible, bodily, universal Second Coming confessed in the Creed.
