Psalm 22:6-8
“But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.”

The Sufferer mocked by onlookers who shake their heads and taunt his trust in God — words echoed almost exactly at the crucifixion.

Apostolic (Oneness) PentecostalThe mocking words 'He trusted on the LORD; let him deliver him' were spoken at the cross of Jesus (Matt. 27:43); the one God in flesh enduring the scorn of men.
JewishA lament of an afflicted righteous sufferer (traditionally David); read of intense persecution, not a crucifixion prophecy.
CatholicThe mockery of the crucified Christ, foreseen in detail (Matt. 27:43 echoes v.8 almost verbatim).
ProtestantThe taunts at the cross ('He trusted in God; let him deliver him') quote this psalm nearly word-for-word (Matt. 27:43).
