Assyria took Samaria in 722 BC (Sargon II claims 27,290 deportees in his annals). But the oracle's eerie precision is the site today: the summit of Sebastia is terraced agricultural land — vineyards and olives among tumbled Iron Age masonry — and excavators (Harvard, then Crowfoot) found the royal quarter's stones slid down the slopes, foundations exposed exactly as v.6 words it. Guides literally point at 'plantings of a vineyard' where the palace stood.
