How Traditions Read This Prophecy
Apostolic (Oneness) Pentecostal'For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed' (3:6). God's unchangeableness is the ground of His people's survival — His mercy does not waver though they do. The same unchanging God calls them to return and to prove Him in giving, promising overflowing blessing. The immutable LORD is the Lord Jesus, 'the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever' (Heb. 13:8).
JewishGod's immutability as the reason Israel is not destroyed despite its sins, with a call to return — and the famous invitation to 'prove' God by bringing the tithes for blessing.
