Apostolic (Oneness) PentecostalThe angel announces 'a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord' — born in the city of David. He is Saviour (the LORD's own role, Isa. 43:11), Christ (the Anointed), and Lord (kyrios, the divine name) — three titles on the one child. The God who alone is Saviour came as the babe of Bethlehem; the Lord Jesus is God our Saviour in flesh.
JewishThe hope of a Davidic deliverer born in Bethlehem; the angelic announcement and divine titles are not part of Jewish tradition.
CatholicThe Nativity proclamation — Saviour, Christ, and Lord — the incarnate Son; the glory of God revealed to the shepherds (cf. the Catechism).
