Apostolic (Oneness) PentecostalThe 'root of Jesse' standing as an ensign to whom the Gentiles seek is the Lord Jesus (Rom. 15:12; Rev. 22:16) — God's salvation reaching the nations in Christ. The second regathering of Israel awaits His day; the one God gathers Jew and Gentile to Himself in the one Name.
JewishThe future ingathering of the dispersed (a 'second' exodus surpassing the first) under the Davidic Messiah, Israel reunited and the nations subdued — a core messianic-age expectation.
CatholicThe root of Jesse is Christ, the ensign to the nations; the ingathering is read of both Israel's restoration and the Church's universality.
