How Traditions Read This Prophecy
Apostolic (Oneness) Pentecostal'Come, and let us return unto the LORD... after two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up.' Israel's hope of national revival is read by the early church of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus 'the third day according to the scriptures' (1 Cor. 15:4; Luke 24:46). The God who tears and heals, who raises up on the third day, is the one God; in Christ's rising, His people are raised with Him.
JewishA call to return to God who wounds and heals; the 'third day' revival read of Israel's national restoration after chastening.
