“Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.”
King James Version
The royal officer scoffs — 'if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be?' Elisha answers: 'Thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.' Next day he is appointed gatekeeper, sees the plenty, and is trampled in the stampede (2 Kgs. 7:17-20).
