Apostolic (Oneness) PentecostalHannah's prayer closes with the first mention of the LORD's 'king' and 'anointed' (mashiach) — 'he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed' — before Israel had a king. It looks beyond David to the Lord Jesus, the LORD's Anointed exalted to judge the ends of the earth; Mary's Magnificat echoes it (Luke 1:46-55). The Judge of all the earth and His Anointed are the one God in Christ.
